By Matt Zemek, BYU Cougars Wire: The one position group which remains a notable concern for BYU football in 2026 is the wide receiver room. BYU football analyst Robby McCombs of Vanquish The Foe said this to ESPN:
“I was super hyped when BYU got Cody Hagen before his mission. He was one of the top wide receivers in the state. Not quite Puka Nacua or Chase Roberts level, but he was in that tier from a recruiting standpoint. It’s disappointing because you’re not losing huge production necessarily, but you’re losing what you hoped he could become.
