By Bjorn Bergstrom, BYU Cougars Wire: Despite the recent commitment of Polish center Jakub Urbaniak, the BYU Cougars still need to add a starting-caliber center to the 2026-27 roster. A number of names have been floated as possibilities, though there’s some hoops to jump through such as receiving NCAA eligibility before a decision can be made.
David Okwera, who’s spent the past few seasons in the NBL in Australia, was an option that emerged, though he’ll turn 24 years old on July 31.
