By Chip Towers, AJC.com: Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning will be named the new head coach at Oregon on Monday, according to a person familiar with the situation.
Lanning and Georgia are negotiating whether the assistant coach will remain with the school through the College Football Playoff.
However, others including Matt Prehm of Ducks Territory were told otherwise by UO sources:
A source at Oregon says the Ducks have not made any coaching hire at this time. The report of Dan Lanning being hired today is inaccurate.
