By Dan Treacy, Sporting News: Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter has taken control of the Heisman Trophy race, if betting odds are to be believed. A three-touchdown, one-interception performance against Oklahoma State on Friday seemingly stretched Hunter’s lead over Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty, who kept churning along with 226 rushing yards in a Broncos win during the same timeframe.
After the Buffaloes’ win, Deion Sanders declared the Heisman race over.
