A lingering lower-body injury forced him to miss the Broncos’ final stretch of the regular season — three full games spent watching from the sideline while backup Max Cutforth stepped in and performed admirably.
Friday he stood on the stage as confetti fell following a 38-21 win over UNLV in the Mountain West Championship after being named the Offensive MVP.
