Big 12 fines Iowa State, Kansas State $500K for declining bowl invitations

By Joe Coles, Deseret News: Iowa State and Kansas State are bowl eligible, but the two schools declined bowl invitations after undergoing coaching changes this week.

Now they have both been fined for that decision.

On Sunday, the Big 12 Conference announced that it has fined both schools $500,000.

After Iowa State and Kansas State declined a bowl invitation, Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark responded by fining each school $500,000.
