Beavers fall to Coastal Carolina, will face Louisville in elimination game

By Joel Odom, The Oregonian/OregonLive: Coastal Carolina starter Jacob Morrison yelled emphatically and pumped his fist after firing a 95 mph fastball past Oregon State’s Gavin Turley for a strikeout to end the sixth inning.

It was that kind of day for the Beavers at the Men’s College World Series. No. 8 seed Oregon State mustered just five hits and one run against the Chanticleers’ ace, ultimately falling 6-2 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.
