By Robby McCombs, Vanquish the Foe: BYU overcame an awful start and key injuries in a comeback 41-27 road win over Iowa State Saturday afternoon in Ames.
After falling behind 24-10 late in the first half, Bear Bachmeier took over and led BYU with with 307 passing yards and 2 touchdowns and was BYU’s leading rusher with 49 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD. What is especially notable is that LJ Martin — the fourth leading rusher in the nation coming into the game — exited the game in the first half with a shoulder injury and did not return.
