By Athlon Sports: In the fourth year of the Herm Edwards era, Arizona State returns 15 starters and zero excuses. The Sun Devils have better continuity and greater talent and depth than at any point in recent history a year after they tantalized by leading the Pac-12 in scoring offense (40.2) and scoring defense (23.2) in a coronavirus-shorted four-game season.
All-conference candidates abound across the defense, and quarterback Jayden Daniels hopes to bring his young receiving corps along to balance out the league’s best 2020 rushing offense (264.2 yards).
