By Mark Ross, Athlon Sports: Things could not have gone much better for Kalen DeBoer in his first season as head coach of the Washington Huskies. Taking over a team that went 4-8 in 2021 and withstood a mid-season firing of head coach Jimmy Lake, DeBoer handled the transition of going from the Mountain West (where he was the head coach at Fresno State) to the Pac-12 with relative ease.
The Huskies went 11-2 overall last season and 7-2 in conference play, tying them with Utah and Oregon for the second-best record in the conference and just missing out on a spot in the Pac-12 Championship Game because of tiebreakers.
