By Mitchell Forde, Athlon Sports: In a word, Dan Lanning’s first season as Oregon head coach was tantalizing. Lanning restored some buzz around the program that hadn’t been there since 2014. His team racked up more than 500 yards per game and averaged 38.8 points, ranking sixth and 10th nationally in those respective categories.
That’s the most points a Ducks team has scored since 2015. He made a splash on the recruiting trail, too, signing the nation’s No. 8 recruiting class in 2023 per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
