By Chris Karpman, Sun Devil Source: Arizona State wide receiver Giovanni Sanders announced via Twitter Tuesday that he has been awarded a scholarship by the program’s coaching staff.
Sanders, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound junior, joined the Sun Devils in 2020 following earlier stints at Riverside City College and Dixie State. Though he did not see meaningful reps last season, he often practiced with the second-team in the slot this spring after multiple players missed action due to injury including sophomore Ricky Pearsall, who also extensively works at the slot position in the two-deep along with freshman LV Bunkley-Shelton.
