By Chris Karpman, SunDevil Source: Arizona State basketball’s first-ever Icelander will be Fridrik Leo Curtis after the 7-foot-1 2025 center committed to the school Friday.
The 19-year-old Curtis, who is playing this season at Cambridge Arts, Technology and Science (CATS Academy) in Braintree, Massachusetts, was highly coveted. He picked the Sun Devils over reported scholarship offers from Alabama, Creighton, Indiana, Stanford, UCF, Xavier and West Virginia. He officially visited ASU, Indiana and West Virginia.
