Freshman QB Jaden Rashada in serious contention to start ASU opener

By Jake Seymour, SunDevil Source: Strong-armed freshman quarterback Jaden Rashada has become a serious contender to start in Arizona State’s season-opener against Southern Utah on August 31.

Rashada took extensive first-team reps in the team’s Wednesday scrimmage at Mountain America Stadium, connecting on a deep touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Elijhah Badger that covered around 50 yards in the air and nearly doing so on an even longer pass behind the defense that was barely broken up.
