Sun Devil Source: The NCAA’s decision to freeze eligibility in 2020 allowed seniors to return to their respective programs, a situation that created a surplus of depth in Arizona State’s secondary.
Sun Devil senior cornerbacks Chase Lucas and Jack Jones and senior safeties Evan Fields and DeAndre Pierce all returned to Tempe for another season. With them back in the fold for one more campaign, ASU won’t have nearly as much immediate reliance on newcomers to step into starting or even key reserve roles as they’ve had over the course of the last several years.
