Assistant football coaches Gill, Hawkins fired by ASU; Breneman resigns

By Chris Karpman, Sun Devil Source: Three Arizona State coaches who were put on paid administrative leave in August following the start of an NCAA review into the program’s recruiting practices are no longer employed by the athletic department, according to people familiar with the development.

Gill is appealing his dismissal in the first step of a potential wrongful termination claim.

The Sun Devils fired two of their assistant coaches within the last week as a byproduct of the investigation into the program's recruiting practices.
