Wildcat Authority: Sources indicate to WildcatAuthority.com that Arizona will hire San Jose State wide receiver coach Kevin Cummings to the same position for the Wildcats. Arizona head coach Jedd Fisch also tweeted a hint on Sunday night.
Cummings previously made 247Sports.com’s 30 Under 30, which stated that “Few position groups have seen more growth over the last few seasons than San Jose State’s wide receivers. The Spartans ranked 87th nationally in passing yards per game in 2017 when Cummings took over the position group. Last year, San Jose State finished fourth nationally with a pair of all-conference wide receivers helping to lead the way. That group included Tre Walker, who caught 79 passes for 1,161 yards. He’s a potential draft pick in 2021.”
