Sun Devil Source: Arizona State wide receiver Jordan Kerley transferred to SMU, according to the school’s online roster that revealed Wednesday he was returning to the Lone Star State. The addition gives the Mustangs yet another transfer wide receiver in the fold to compete in a room looking to bounce back from an up and down 2020 season. Kerley’s teammate and tight end Nolan Matthews also transferred to SMU and arrived this month.
Kerley opted out of the college football season before the team’s fall preparations due to COVID-19 related concerns. At the time, he was expected by the program to return to the Sun Devils according to ASU head coach Herm Edwards.
