247Sports: Just a week and a half after Arizona fired head football coach Kevin Sumlin, the Wildcats have found a new man for the job. According to ESPN’s Field Yates and Adam Schefter, Arizona has hired New England Patriots quarterbacks coach Jedd Fisch.
Fisch has been in the NFL since 2018 after stops at Michigan and UCLA from 2015-17. He was also Miami’s offensive coordinator from 2010-11 and Minnesota’s OC in 2009. The final straw of Kevin Sumlin’s demise at Arizona was the Wildcats’ 70-7 loss to in-state rival Arizona State on Dec. 11.
