By Zachary Neel, Ducks Wire: In February of 2024, Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks landed one of the biggest commitments of his tenure in Eugene. Wide receiver Gatlin Bair, who stands 6 feet, 1 inch, 195 pounds, is a five-star player out of Burley, Idaho. He announced he was staying in the Northwest and committing to the Ducks.
Of course, Lanning had picked up five-star players before, but not with the size and speed of Bair. In high school, the multisport athlete set records, particularly on the track, running a 10.15-second 100-meter dash that broke the Idaho state record and earned him a spot in the U.S. Junior Olympics.
