By Brad Crawford, 247Sports: Which Power conference programs benefit the most from College Football Playoff expansion during the 2024 season and beyond? First, it starts with a few of the winningest teams which failed to push through the glass ceiling in the previous four-team era for various reasons.
Per College Football News, only 16 schools appeared in the College Football Playoff since its inception in 2014 — Alabama, Cincinnati, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, TCU and Washington. And three members of that group — the Longhorns, Horned Frogs and Huskies — made their debuts over the last two years.
