By Brad Crawford, 247Sports: Going bold with daring predictions ahead of college football’s 2024 season is a dangerous order due to revealing your entire hand a bit early. After all, rosters aren’t yet finalized with a spring transfer portal window coming and there’s still plenty of position battles yet to be decided before the moving and shaking begins inside the top 25.
However, fans love surprises and it wouldn’t be bold to go with the same, generic projections prior to the first year of the expanded College Football Playoff without a couple stunners. Last fall, we saw two first-time playoff entries and we’re expecting parity again just outside of the usual group of national title contenders.
