2026 four-star SF Rider Portela taking official visit to Colorado basketball

By Oliver Hayes, BuffStampede: The youthful Colorado men’s basketball team has some high-pressure recruiting to do for the class of 2026, currently expecting just one scholarship to open after next season, with big man Elijah Malone graduating in the spring.

With one available offer in mind, Colorado’s sights are on four-star small forward Rider Portela, who’s currently the program’s only set official visitor from the class of 2026. Rated a 90 by 247Sports and ranked the No. 10 senior in Arizona, the 6-foot-6, 175-pound Portela is set to be in Boulder on Friday, Sept. 5, a day before Colorado’s football team plays Delaware. He officially visited California on Aug. 27, it being his only other official visit.
