By Brad Crawford, 247Sports: Big Ten Media Days kick off this week in Indianapolis with the recently-expanded league welcoming four new members, including a major College Football Playoff threat. Coming off the league’s first national championship since 2014, the Big Ten boasts several programs inside various preseason rankings and cleaned up in the transfer portal as a conference, strengthening its chances to defend a title.
Not all newcomers will overcome challenging schedules, however. With the sheer number of quality teams inside the top-half of the conference, there are many who could struggle in getting to bowl season due to the week to week grind.
Going out on a limb, it’s time to go over every situation within the conference and reveal season-long projections.
