By Chris Murray, Nevada Sports Net: With its television deal expiring in five months, the Mountain West has not announced its future media-rights partners or expected revenue from those deals.
But a recent request from the Wyoming athletics department as part of the university’s biennium budget request could shed some light into the expected money — or lack thereof — coming to MW schools in that new deal.
Currently, MW schools make around $3.5 million each year to have its games televised on CBS and Fox (Nevada reported $3,401,867 in media rights in fiscal year 2024).
