CougFan: Former Washington State All-American safety Deone Bucannon today will join a Who’s Who of great Cougars who’ve suited up over the last 50-plus years in football’s biggest game — the Super Bowl — when his Tampa Bay Bucanneers take on the Kansas City Chiefs at 3:30 p.m. Pacific in Tampa. Bucannon took a circuitous route to his role as a Bucs’ backup linebacker after spending most of the season away from the action.
