By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan: Washington State running back Dylan Paine will miss Saturday’s game with a high ankle sprain, Jake Dickert said after practice Wednesday.
With the dismissal of Jaylen Jenkins, Paine was expected to step into the backup running back role behind Nakia Watson, but now Washington State will turn to its youth — Djouvensky Schlenbaker and Leo Pulalasi — behind Watson against Arizona State at 5 p.m. on Saturday in Tempe (TV: Pac-12 Network).
