After Washington State’s thrilling 24-19 victory over No. 22 Washington in the 116th Apple Cup Saturday at Lumen Field, Cougar head man Jake Dickert brandished an unlit cigar and hinted that when the teams meet in Pullman next fall, they may be playing for a new trophy.
“To bring that trophy back to Pullman — it’s going be in the third floor of the Cougar Football Complex if anybody wants to come out and see it.,” said Dickert.
