But shrewd money management will become exponentially more important in the new world order for Big 12 schools attempting to compete against peers in the SEC and Big Ten that are, by comparison, rolling in cash.
Starting next year, Big 12 members will receive an average of $31.7 million annually from a media rights agreement with Fox and ESPN.
