247Sports: The Big Ten officially announced that it was canceling its 2020 fall football season Tuesday, making a decision that runs counter to several Monday statements from coaches throughout the league who implored the conference to play this season. One coach, Nebraska’s Scott Frost, even seemed to indicate that his Cornhuskers would find a way to play this season someway, somehow.
“We want to play a Big Ten schedule, I hope thats what happens,” Frost said to media members Monday. “Our university is committed to playing no matter what that looks like and how that looks. We want to play no matter who it is or where it is. We’ll see how those chips fall. We certainly hope it’s in the Big Ten. If it isn’t, I think we’re prepared to look for other options.”
