By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan: Defense ruled on Day 8 of fall camp at Washington State on Thursday, with turnovers playing a major factor for DC Jeff Schmedding‘s unit. After practice, Schmedding spoke to the media for the first time this fall and noted the shift he has felt in the defense’s mentality and intensity.

“It’s not like a one-day emphasis, it’s an all-the-time emphasis,” Schmedding said.
