By Roman Tomashoff, Huskies Wire: Coach Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies have been in hot pursuit of four-star quarterback Brady Smigiel for quite a while. On Sunday, the nation’s No. 5 quarterback and No. 63 overall player, according to the 247Sports Composite, backed off his commitment to the Florida State Seminoles.
The 6-foot-5, 205-pound product of Newbury Park High School in Southern California had been committed to coach Mike Norvell’s class since June 2024, but chose to back off amid a flurry of interest.
