By Barry Bolton, CougFan: It’s only fitting a Washington State football season seemingly written by Homer ends in bizarre fashion, with two teams playing in a bowl match-up thrown together in a matter of hours.
The Cougars, the Pac-12’s representative in the Sun Bowl, and Central Michigan, the Mid-America Conference standard bearer in the Arizona Bowl, will collide for the first time in the schools’ football histories this Friday as a result of covid-19 protocols sidelining their would-be opponents, Miami and Boise State, respectively.
