By Roman Tomashoff, Huskies Wire: If Tacario Davis had chosen to leave the Arizona Wildcats for the NFL, he would, in all likelihood, be projected as one of the top cornerbacks to be selected during Thursday’s draft. However, he chose to utilize the transfer portal and spend his final season of eligibility with the coaching staff that helped develop him into one of the nation’s top defensive backs, Jedd Fisch’s.
When secondary coach John Richardson arrived at Arizona in 2023, he helped turn Davis into a star, as the 6-foot-4 cornerback put together 15 pass breakups and an interception as a sophomore on his way to an All-Pac-12 honorable mention.
