UW Athletic Department announces internal NIL and influencer marketing unit

By Washington Athletic Department Release: The University of Washington Athletic Department has established an innovative internal unit within the Department that will serve as an influencer marketing and NIL agency to increase revenue opportunities and business partnerships within the shifting landscape of collegiate athletics. Designated Dawgs Unleashed, Joe Knight ’16 has been appointed Executive Director, it was announced today by UW Director of Athletics Pat Chun.

Knight, a highly-regarded UW development officer and Seattle business professional, and former two-sport UW student-athlete, will transition from his current Major Gift Officer duties to guide the new unit.
