By Connor Morrissette, USCFootball.com: USC is making changes to its defensive staff. Secondary coach Doug Belk will not be back in 2026, multiple sources informed USCFootball.com. Belk spent the last two seasons at USC as secondary coach under Lincoln Riley and former defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn.
This past season, Belk primarily coached USC’s safeties after cornerbacks coach Trovon Reed was hired. The Trojans ranked 47th nationally and ninth in the Big Ten in passing yards allowed in 2025.
