By Brad Crawford, 247Sports: College football’s powerhouse programs within the power conference ranks ranked by all-time win percentage have combined to dominate the sport for decades, most falling under the blue-blood label. Not all programs have played the same number of games, so total wins isn’t the most objective way to access the top of the rankings.
Win percentage is calculated by dividing a team’s number of total wins, including bowl and playoff games, by their total number of games. Ties count as half-wins and half-losses by the NCAA. Entering the 2024 season, several of these programs should be ranked inside the AP Top 25 when that poll comes out in a few months.
