By Carter Bahns, 247Sports: Conference realignment ahead of the 2024 college football season further distanced the SEC and Big Ten from the rest of their Power Four counterparts, but for the teams joining those ultra-competitive leagues, the adjustment to life in their new digs could come with some significant challenges.
Texas and Oklahoma have high expectations in the SEC while Oregon, USC, Washington and UCLA carry various outlooks into the Big Ten, and according to former coach Urban Meyer — who worked in both conferences during his tremendous career — Year 1 could be a challenge for all of those teams in one way or another.
