By Tracy Pierson, Bruin Report Online: UCLA is one of the first athletic programs to announce its plans to distribute a revenue share of approximately $20 million with its student athletes.
This comes after the NCAA reached a historic agreement with its five biggest conferences last week to establish a revenue-sharing model that pays athletes directly.
“It’s a new era in collegiate athletics,” a UCLA spokesman said in a prepared statement.
