UCLA G Trent Perry received 'threats and hate comments' after Minnesota loss

An athlete plays poorly. He or she then looks at their phone. And boom, an avalanche of angry fans and bettors have bombarded the players’ social media accounts with hateful messages.

That’s what UCLA guard Trent Perry experienced after his scoreless performance against Minnesota over the weekend, a 78-73 loss for the Bruins, Perry revealed Tuesday night.

“For me personally, I felt like I let my team down last game against Minnesota,” he said.
