By Matt Zemek, Trojans Wire: John Robinson went 5-2 against Donahue from 1976-1982 at USC, but when Robinson returned in 1993, Donahue struck back. USC-UCLA was fierce in Donahue’s time, but Donahue always earned respect.
Donahue, the winningest UCLA and Pac-10 head coach of all time, died Sunday at 77. Though he was a thorn in USC’s side, Donahue himself was hard to hate.
