By Tracy Pierson, Bruin Report Online: Various sources reported Wednesday that the NCAA Division 1 Council approved new legislation that enables undergraduates in football and basketball to transfer one time without having to redshirt.
The NCAA should announce its vote by the end of the week and reports are indicating that it will go into effect immediately.
According to sources, it will apply to all transfers whose sit-out year would have been during the 2021-2022 school year. So, if you’re a football player that transferred to UCLA in spring and are enrolled, you will have immediate eligibility for this coming fall season.
