'True open competition': Jones, Bourguet to battle for ASU starting QB job

By Noah Furtado, SunDevil Source: Two days removed from his team’s 15-14 loss at Stanford, Arizona State interim head coach Shaun Aguano said there is an open quarterback competition this week between junior Emory Jones and sophomore Trenton Bourguet.

“It is a true competition these next three days and we’ll see how that plays,” Aguano said. “There is no true starter right now.”
