Travis Hunter first to win Big 12 Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week

By Barkley Truax, On3 Sports: Travis Hunter made history during Colorado‘s Week 9 win over Cincinnati on Saturday.

Following the 34-23 victory over the Bearcats, Hunter was not only named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week but was also awarded Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors as well.

He is the first player to earn both titles in the same week — another feather in the cap of Hunter as he continues his path to New York as a Heisman Trophy finalist.

On the offensive end, Hunter caught nine passes for 153 yards and a pair of touchdowns while defensively logging four pass breakups and a pair of tackles.
