By Grant Hughes, 247Sports: Halloween is just around the corner, but the frights for the college football AP Top 25 will last long after the costumes come off and the candy is passed out. Ohio State’s road clash at Penn State and Oregon’s first trip to The Big House in 15 years in Week 10 highlights the scariest remaining games for each ranked team entering the final month of the 2024 regular season.
Ohio State-Penn State is one of just two ranked matchups in Week 10 and the only one that pits two top-five teams against one another. The Buckeyes have haunted Nittany Lions coach James Franklin throughout his career. He is 1-9 against the Buckeyes since taking over at Penn State in 2014.
Week 11 and Week 12 will bring another spooky slate for the nation’s best teams. Alabama will look to exercise demons against LSU in the Week 11 matchup at Death Valley, while Tennessee meets Georgia in Athens a week later for a matchup with major College Football Playoff implications.
