247Sports: USC will add one of the top transfers available, as former Texas running back Keaontay Ingram announced via Twitter on Tuesday that he has committed to the Trojans. Ingram rushed for over 1,800 yards and scored 11 touchdowns on the ground for Texas over the last three seasons, and he was a 4-star recruit out of Carthage (Texas) in the 2018 class. 247Sports’ Chris Hummer recently ranked Ingram as one of the top two running backs available in the transfer market.
Ingram entered the NCAA transfer portal in mid-January. In December, reports suggested Ingram was opting out of the remainder of the 2020 season with the intent to transfer. However, then-Texas head coach Tom Herman said in a pregame interview with the Longhorn Network before the Kansas State game that Ingram hadn’t opted out.
