By SBLive: An Allen (Texas) High School assistant football coach has died from COVID-19 complications only days before the 2021 Texas high school football season kicks off.
James Shillam — a long-time high school baseball, softball and football assistant coach with stops throughout Washington and Texas — died Sunday after battling COVID for weeks. He was 56.
