Buff Stampede: The college football world was dealt a terrible blow earlier this week with the tragic death of Utah freshman running back Ty Jordan, an emerging star, who was killed in an accidental shooting on Christmas. He was 19 years old.
Jordan was home in Texas at the time of his death, as Utah is not playing in the postseason this year. According to reports, Jordan was accidentally shot in a Dallas suburb, though details of the situation remain scarce. Reports from KUTV and the Salt Lake Tribune indicated that Denton (Texas) Police officers found a single gunshot victim, who later died after being transported to a local hospital. A preliminary investigation deemed that the gun was accidentally discharged, per reports.
