Sun Devils set to add Malik McClain, Penn State WR transfer

By Chris Karpman, SunDevil Source: Senior wide receiver Malik McClain is set to fill Arizona State’s last available 2024 football scholarship after announcing Sunday he would transfer to the school from Penn State.

McClain caught six passes for 71 yards in 13 games in his lone season at Penn State after two earlier seasons at Florida State, where he made 33 catches for 396 yards. He has a reputation as a physical player with great blocking on the outside.

After practicing with just seven scholarship wide receivers at the end of spring ball, ASU has added a commitment from Penn State senior transfer Malik McClain, who earlier played at Florida State under Kenny Dillingham.
