By Jackson Moore, Cardinal 247: The Stanford Cardinal women’s basketball team learned its NCAA Tournament seeding on Monday. The Cardinal earned not only a No. 1 seed, but the No. 1 overall seed of the entire tournament.
Stanford will not have the benefit of playing close to home in the typical West region, however. The entire tournament will be played in San Antonio, Texas due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Cardinal are the No. 1 seed of the “Alamo Region.” The other No. 1 seeds named were NC State, South Carolina and UConn.
